AGRA OMARURU BRANCH STEPS INTO A NEW ERA WITH GRAND REOPENING LAUNCHING ON AGRA’S 45TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

Windhoek, Namibia – 29 August 2025 – Agra proudly celebrated the official opening of its newly renovated Omaruru branch on 29 August 2025, a milestone that coincided with Agra’s 45th birthday. The event marked more than just a ribbon cutting — it was a celebration of Agra’s legacy, its continuous growth, and its unwavering commitment to the farming community and the people of Omaruru and beyond. For Agra, every investment in brick-and-mortar and property is an investment in the community — contributing to the development of the town and ultimately stimulating the local economy. The opening also formed part of Agra’s 45th birthday celebrations, which were commemorated across all 21 Agra branches nationwide.

Set in a town known for its charm, tourism, and central location, the upgraded Agra Omaruru branch reflected a significant investment in service, innovation, and customer convenience. Designed with the farmer, the local community, and even the travelling visitor in mind, the new branch delivered a modern shopping experience that lived up to Agra’s innovation to be your go-to destination.

Listening to their clients, Agra responded with a bold vision to transform the branch into a next-generation Agra destination. What Changed?
Phase One of the newly built, 1,000 m² retail space offering:

• A wider range of agricultural and lifestyle products
• A modern, spacious layout for easier navigation and shopping comfort
• Tailored offerings for locals and tourists alike
• A refreshed in-store experience aligned with Agra’s national retail standards

Phase Two, will include the transformation of the “old store” into a Go Agra Convenience Hub featuring:

• An Agra Safari Den for outdoor and lifestyle essentials
• A DIY store for every fixer, maker, and doer in the region
• An upgraded fuel station with improved access and service

A Day of Celebration
The reopening was celebrated in true Agra style. Customers enjoyed:

• A live radio broadcast from the branch
• Lucky draws and “Pop a Balloon” prize giveaways
• Special birthday deals
• A celebratory cake cutting
• The official opening attended by multiple Agra Executive Committee (EXCO) members, Managers and staff underscoring the importance of this investment.

As part of the celebrations, Agra reinforced its commitment to go beyond business by giving back to the community. In partnership with the Agra Staff Initiative Fund (ASIF), the company donated N$5,000 and an oxygen ventilator to the Omaruru Old Age Home, as well as N$5,000 to Ark Rescue and Rehabilitation.
