AGRA AGRICULTURAL ACADEMY GRADUATION CEREMONY 2025

The Agra Agricultural Academy, under the management of Agra ProVision, marked a significant milestone in its commitment to agricultural education with the graduation ceremony on Friday, 7 March 2025, at the well-known Agra Bank Windhoek Ring. This event celebrated the fifth group of graduates since the Academy's inception in 2021, with 25 candidates receiving their National Certificates and Diplomas in the following fields: Animal Production, Plant Production and Agri & Sales.

The graduation ceremony was a momentous occasion not only for the graduates but also for the Academy. Griffort Beukes, General Manager: Human Resource, addressed the attendees, highlighting the significance of their achievement and the Academy's growth over the years.

Adding to the ceremony's distinguished lineup, Johann Stassen, Managing Director for the International Agricultural Academy for Africa, played an integral role in the celebrations. Special thanks were extended to Mr. Stassen for officiating the capping ceremony of the graduates. His participation added a significant international dimension to the event, emphasizing the global importance of agricultural education and collaboration.

The event was a proud moment for graduates, their families, and Agra leadership, with EXCO members in attendance to celebrate the accomplishments of these future agricultural professionals. The atmosphere was one of joy and pride as graduates walked across the stage to receive their certificates and diplomas, marking the culmination of their hard work and the beginning of their promising careers in the agricultural sector.

During the ceremony, a key message by Senior Marketing Manager, Mrs Chrislemien Stroh, resonated with the audience: "Agriculture is the backbone of Namibia. It is more than just growing crops or raising livestock; it is about sustainability, innovation, and feeding a nation. The world is changing, and so is the way we farm. With climate change, advancing technology, and shifting global markets, the future of agriculture depends on bold, forward-thinking minds—minds like yours."

The Agra Agricultural Academy continues to set the bar high for agricultural education in Namibia. This year's graduation ceremony is not just a testament to the success of the Academy's educational programs but also a reflection of its vital role in nurturing the next generation of agricultural professionals.
