2022 Agra Auctions Donate for Pink

During the month of October, Agra Auctions hosted their first “Donate for Pink” campaign to raise funds for the Cancer Association of Namibia. Due to the overwhelming response from the Namibian farmers and at their request, the campaign was extended to the 15th of November. The campaign included 13 Stud Auctions and 57 Commercial Auctions held by Agra Auctions during this period.

Namibian producers had the option of donating to the initiative in cash, as a percentage of their auction sales, or by donating specific lots towards the campaign. Private individuals also contributed to the cause. All relevant commissions from Agra Auctions were also donated towards this fund-raising initiative. Agra Auctions also sold hats and caps at auctions. These funds were also donated to the campaign.

All funds raised were donated to the Cancer Association of Namibia at an official handover, held at Agra Corporate Office on Monday, 28 November 2022. Rolf Hansen, Chief Executive Officer of the Cancer Association of Namibia thanked producers for their participation and expressed a heartfelt gratitude for the donation. He indicated that the funds will be used to assist their initiatives to diagnose and treat breast and ovarian cancer.

Agra Auctions expressed their most sincere gratitude to everyone who participated towards this cause, raising a total of N$177 965.58 towards the campaign.
