AGRA PROVISION CELEBRATES 29 GRADUATES AT THE 2026 AGRA AGRICULTURAL ACADEMY GRADUATION

The Agra Agricultural Academy, administered by Agra ProVision celebrated the graduation of 29 students during a ceremony held on 6 March 2026. This event marks an important milestone in the continued development of agricultural skills and professional training within Namibia’s farming sector.

The event brought together Agra’s CEO: Arnold Klein, members of Agra’s management team, invited partners and sponsors, graduates’ families, and members of the media, creating a memorable occasion to celebrate the achievements of the graduating class and the growth of agricultural education in Namibia.

Addressing the attendees, Griffort Beukes, Agra Executive Manager: Human Resources, highlighted the significance of the graduates’ achievements and reflected on the continued growth of the Agra Agricultural Academy, which plays an important role in developing practical agricultural skills and empowering individuals within the industry.

A key highlight of the ceremony was the capping of the graduates, officiated by Dr Fiona Anderson, Manager: Agra ProVision, alongside executive guest Johann Stassen, Managing Director of the International Agricultural Academy for Africa. His participation added an important international dimension to the event, emphasising the value of collaboration and knowledge exchange in advancing agricultural education.

The graduating class represented a diverse group of participants supported through a combination of sponsorships and development initiatives, highlighting the importance of partnerships in advancing agricultural training. Agra ProVision extends its sincere appreciation to Nedbank Namibia, the Namibia Agricultural Board (NAB), Rössing Foundation, and the National Disability Council of Namibia for their support in sponsoring students and investing in the development of agricultural skills in Namibia.

During the ceremony, special recognition was given to the top-performing graduates, whose academic achievements distinguished them within the programme:
Ndungaua Ruhumba – 98% Diploma: Animal Production
Liami Simuketa – 96% Certificate: Plant Production
Margareth Mutango Marurungu – 96% Certificate: Plant Production
Angelika Haimbodi – 94% Certificate Agri Sales & Services
Kaitondjamba Kandukira – 93% Certificate Agri Sales & Services

The ceremony concluded with closing remarks by Dr Fiona Anderson, Manager of Agra ProVision, who commended the graduates for their dedication and perseverance throughout the programme and encouraged them to apply the knowledge and skills gained to strengthen Namibia’s agricultural sector.
