This training aims to introduce good principles to maintain healthy beehives and becoming a successful beekeeper.

The participants on this course will acquire knowledge on:

• Appropriate clothing and beekeeping gear
• Best practices with pests and diseases and harvesting of products.
• The marketing of these products is also addressed.
• Techniques on how to set-up a new apiary correctly are explained.
Regarding the practical session, a visit to an operating apiary will take place, which adds valuable hands-on experience to the novice by performing a beehive inspection.
